85. Al-Buruj (22 Ayahs)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
Al-Buruj • Ayah 2
وَٱ لۡيَوۡمِ ٱ لۡمَوۡعُو د ِ ٢
EN · Sahih Intl. And [by] the promised Day
Al-Buruj • Ayah 3
وَشَاهِدٍ و َمَشۡهُو د ٍ ٣
EN · Sahih Intl. And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,
Al-Buruj • Ayah 4
قُتِلَ أَصۡحَـٰ بُ ٱ لۡأُخۡدُو د ِ ٤
EN · Sahih Intl. Destroyed [i.e., cursed] were the companions of the trench1
Al-Buruj • Ayah 5
ٱل نّ َارِ ذَاتِ ٱ لۡوَقُو د ِ ٥
EN · Sahih Intl. [Containing] the fire full of fuel,
Al-Buruj • Ayah 6
إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُو د ٌ ٦
EN · Sahih Intl. When they were sitting near it.
Al-Buruj • Ayah 7
وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱ لۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ شُهُو د ٌ ٧
EN · Sahih Intl. And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 1
Al-Buruj • Ayah 8
وَمَا نَقَمُواۡ مِنۡهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن ي ُؤۡمِنُواۡ بِٱ للَّهِ ٱ لۡعَزِيزِ ٱ لۡحَمِي د ِ ٨
EN · Sahih Intl. And they resented them not except because they believed in Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,
Al-Buruj • Ayah 9
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱ ل سَّمَـٰ وٰ ٱ لۡأَرۡضِۚ وَٱ للَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ ش َهِي د ٌ ٩
EN · Sahih Intl. To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allāh, over all things, is Witness.1
Al-Buruj • Ayah 10
إِنّ َ ٱ لَّذِينَ فَتَنُواۡ ٱ لۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱ لۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰ تِ ثُمّ َ لَمۡ يَتُوبُواۡ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنّ َمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱ لۡحَرِي ق ِ ١٠
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, those who have tortured1 the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.
Al-Buruj • Ayah 11
إِنّ َ ٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواۡ وَعَمِلُواۡ ٱ ل صَّـٰ لِحَـٰ تِ لَهُمۡ جَنّ َـٰ تٌ ت َجۡ رِى مِن ت َحۡتِهَا ٱ لۡأَنۡهَـٰ رُۚ ذٰ ٱ لۡفَوۡزُ ٱ لۡكَبِي رُ ١١
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.
Al-Buruj • Ayah 12
إِنّ َ بَطۡ شَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِي د ٌ ١٢
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, the assault [i.e., vengeance] of your Lord is severe.
Al-Buruj • Ayah 13
إِنّ َهُۥ هُوَ يُبۡ دِئُ وَيُعِي د ُ ١٣
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.
Al-Buruj • Ayah 14
وَهُوَ ٱ لۡغَفُورُ ٱ لۡوَدُو د ُ ١٤
EN · Sahih Intl. And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,
Al-Buruj • Ayah 15
ذُو ٱ لۡعَرۡشِ ٱ لۡمَجِي د ُ ١٥
EN · Sahih Intl. Honorable Owner of the Throne,
Al-Buruj • Ayah 16
فَعَّالٌ ل ِّمَا يُرِي د ُ ١٦
EN · Sahih Intl. Effecter of what He intends.
Al-Buruj • Ayah 17
هَلۡ أَتَـٰ كَ حَدِيثُ ٱ لۡجُنُو د ِ ١٧
EN · Sahih Intl. Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -
Al-Buruj • Ayah 18
فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُو د َ ١٨
EN · Sahih Intl. [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamūd?
Al-Buruj • Ayah 19
بَلِ ٱ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُواۡ فِى تَكۡذِي ب ٍ ١٩
EN · Sahih Intl. But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,
Al-Buruj • Ayah 20
وَٱ للَّهُ مِن و َرَا ٓئِهِم م ُّحِي ط ُۢ ٢٠
EN · Sahih Intl. While Allāh encompasses them from behind.1
Al-Buruj • Ayah 21
بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانٌ م َّجِي د ٌ ٢١
EN · Sahih Intl. But this is an honored Qur’ān
Al-Buruj • Ayah 22
فِى لَوۡحٍ م َّحۡفُو ظِۭ ٢٢
