وَيۡلٌ ل ِّلۡمُطَفِّفِي نَ ١

83. Al-Mutaffifin (36 Ayahs)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 2
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱ كۡتَالُواۡ عَلَى ٱ ل نّ َاسِ يَسۡتَوۡفُو نَ ٢
EN · Sahih Intl. Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 3
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمۡ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمۡ يُخۡسِرُو نَ ٣
EN · Sahih Intl. But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 4
أَلَا يَظُنّ ُ أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ أَنّ َهُم م َّبۡ عُوثُو نَ ٤
EN · Sahih Intl. Do they not think that they will be resurrected

لِيَوۡمٍ عَظِي مٍ ٥
EN · Sahih Intl. For a tremendous Day -
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 6
يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱ ل نّ َاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱ لۡعَـٰ لَمِي نَ ٦
EN · Sahih Intl. The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 7
كَلَّآ إِنّ َ كِتَـٰ بَ ٱ لۡفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّي نٍ ٧
EN · Sahih Intl. No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 8
وَمَآ أَدۡ رَٮٰ كَ مَا سِجِّي نٌ ٨
EN · Sahih Intl. And what can make you know what is sijjeen?
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 9
كِتَـٰ بٌ م َّرۡقُو مٌ ٩
EN · Sahih Intl. It is [their destination1 recorded in] a register inscribed.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 10
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ١٠
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers,
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 11
ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱ ل دِّي نِ ١١
EN · Sahih Intl. Who deny the Day of Recompense.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 12
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِي مٍ ١٢
EN · Sahih Intl. And none deny it except every sinful transgressor.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 13
إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَـٰ تُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰ طِيرُ ٱ لۡأَوَّلِي نَ ١٣
EN · Sahih Intl. When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 14
كَلَّاۖ بَلۡۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم م َّا كَانُواۡ يَكۡسِبُو نَ ١٤
EN · Sahih Intl. No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.1
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 15
كَلَّآ إِنّ َهُمۡ عَن ر َّبِّهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ل َّمَحۡجُوبُو نَ ١٥
EN · Sahih Intl. No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.1
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 16
ثُمّ َ إِنّ َهُمۡ لَصَالُواۡ ٱ لۡجَحِي مِ ١٦
EN · Sahih Intl. Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 17
ثُمّ َ يُقَالُ هَـٰ ذَا ٱ لَّذِى كُنت ُم ب ِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُو نَ ١٧
EN · Sahih Intl. Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 18
كَلَّآ إِنّ َ كِتَـٰ بَ ٱ لۡأَبۡ رَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّي نَ ١٨
EN · Sahih Intl. No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in ʿilliyyūn.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 19
وَمَآ أَدۡ رَٮٰ كَ مَا عِلِّيُّو نَ ١٩
EN · Sahih Intl. And what can make you know what is ʿilliyyūn?
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 20
كِتَـٰ بٌ م َّرۡقُو مٌ ٢٠
EN · Sahih Intl. It is [their destination1 recorded in] a register inscribed
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 21
يَشۡهَدُهُ ٱ لۡمُقَرَّبُو نَ ٢١
EN · Sahih Intl. Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allāh].
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 22
إِنّ َ ٱ لۡأَبۡ رَارَ لَفِى نَعِي مٍ ٢٢
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 23
عَلَى ٱ لۡأَرَا ٓئِكِ يَنظ ُرُو نَ ٢٣
EN · Sahih Intl. On adorned couches, observing.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 24
تَعۡرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ ٱ ل نّ َعِي مِ ٢٤
EN · Sahih Intl. You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 25
يُسۡقَوۡنَ مِن ر َّحِيقٍ م َّخۡتُو مٍ ٢٥
EN · Sahih Intl. They will be given to drink [pure] wine1 [which was] sealed.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 26
خِتَـٰ مُهُۥ مِسۡكٌۚ و َفِى ذٰ ٱ لۡمُتَنَـٰ فِسُو نَ ٢٦
EN · Sahih Intl. The last of it1 is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 27
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن ت َسۡنِي مٍ ٢٧
EN · Sahih Intl. And its mixture is of Tasneem,1
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 28
عَيۡنًا ي َشۡرَبُ بِهَا ٱ لۡمُقَرَّبُو نَ ٢٨
EN · Sahih Intl. A spring from which those near [to Allāh] drink.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 29
إِنّ َ ٱ لَّذِينَ أَجۡ رَمُواۡ كَانُواۡ مِنَ ٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواۡ يَضۡحَكُو نَ ٢٩
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 30
وَإِذَا مَرُّواۡ بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُو نَ ٣٠
EN · Sahih Intl. And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 31
وَإِذَا ٱ نق َلَبُوٓ اۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱ نق َلَبُواۡ فَكِهِي نَ ٣١
EN · Sahih Intl. And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 32
وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓ اۡ إِنّ َ هَـٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ لَضَا ٓلُّو نَ ٣٢
EN · Sahih Intl. And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 33
وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَـٰ فِظِي نَ ٣٣
EN · Sahih Intl. But they had not been sent as guardians over them.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 34
فَٱ لۡيَوۡمَ ٱ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواۡ مِنَ ٱ لۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُو نَ ٣٤
EN · Sahih Intl. So Today1 those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 35
عَلَى ٱ لۡأَرَا ٓئِكِ يَنظ ُرُو نَ ٣٥
EN · Sahih Intl. On adorned couches, observing.
Al-Mutaffifin • Ayah 36
هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱ لۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواۡ يَفۡعَلُو نَ ٣٦
EN · Sahih Intl. Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?
