وَٱ لۡمُرۡسَلَـٰ تِ عُرۡفًا ١
EN · Sahih Intl. By those [winds] sent forth in gusts

77. Al-Mursalat (50 Ayahs)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 2
فَٱ لۡعَـٰ صِفَـٰ تِ عَصۡفًا ٢
EN · Sahih Intl. And the winds that blow violently
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 3
وَٱ ل نّ َـٰ شِرٰ
EN · Sahih Intl. And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 4
فَٱ لۡفَـٰ رِقَـٰ تِ فَرۡقًا ٤
EN · Sahih Intl. And those [angels] who bring criterion1
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 5
فَٱ لۡمُلۡقِيَـٰ تِ ذِكۡرًا ٥
EN · Sahih Intl. And those [angels] who deliver a message.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 6
عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا ٦
EN · Sahih Intl. As justification or warning,
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 7
إِنّ َمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوٰ
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 8
فَإِذَا ٱ ل نّ ُجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ ٨
EN · Sahih Intl. So when the stars are obliterated
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 9
وَإِذَا ٱ ل سَّمَا ٓءُ فُرِجَتۡ ٩
EN · Sahih Intl. And when the heaven is opened
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 10
وَإِذَا ٱ لۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ ١٠
EN · Sahih Intl. And when the mountains are blown away
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 11
وَإِذَا ٱ ل رُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ ١١
EN · Sahih Intl. And when the messengers' time has come...1
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 12
لِأَىِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ ١٢
EN · Sahih Intl. For what Day was it postponed?1
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 13
لِيَوۡمِ ٱ لۡفَصۡلِ ١٣
EN · Sahih Intl. For the Day of Judgement.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 14
وَمَآ أَدۡ رَٮٰ كَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱ لۡفَصۡلِ ١٤
EN · Sahih Intl. And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 15
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ١٥
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe,1 that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 16
أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱ لۡأَوَّلِي نَ ١٦
EN · Sahih Intl. Did We not destroy the former peoples?
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 17
ثُمّ َ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱ لۡأَخِرِي نَ ١٧
EN · Sahih Intl. Then We will follow them with the later ones.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 18
كَذٰ ٱ لۡمُجۡ رِمِي نَ ١٨
EN · Sahih Intl. Thus do We deal with the criminals.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 19
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ١٩
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 20
أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُق كُّم م ِّن م َّا ٓءٍ م َّهِي نٍ ٢٠
EN · Sahih Intl. Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 21
فَجَعَلۡنَـٰ هُ فِى قَرَارٍ م َّكِي نٍ ٢١
EN · Sahih Intl. And We placed it in a firm lodging [i.e., the womb]
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ م َّعۡلُو مٍ ٢٢
EN · Sahih Intl. For a known extent.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 23
فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱ لۡقَـٰ دِرُو نَ ٢٣
EN · Sahih Intl. And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 24
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٢٤
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 25
أَلَمۡ نَجۡ عَلِ ٱ لۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا ٢٥
EN · Sahih Intl. Have We not made the earth a container
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 26
أَحۡيَا ٓءً و َأَمۡوٰ
EN · Sahih Intl. Of the living and the dead?
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 27
وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوٰ ـٰ مِخَـٰ تٍ و َأَسۡقَيۡنَـٰ كُم م َّا ٓءً ف ُرَاتًا ٢٧
EN · Sahih Intl. And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 28
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٢٨
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 29
ٱنط َلِقُوٓ اۡ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنت ُم ب ِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُو نَ ٢٩
EN · Sahih Intl. [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 30
ٱنط َلِقُوٓ اۡ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذ ِى ثَلَـٰ ثِ شُعَب ٍ ٣٠
EN · Sahih Intl. Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 31
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ و َلَا يُغۡنِى مِنَ ٱ ل لَّهَب ِ ٣١
EN · Sahih Intl. [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 32
إِنّ َهَا تَرۡمِى بِشَرَرٍ ك َٱ لۡقَصۡرِ ٣٢
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 33
كَأَنّ َهُۥ جِمَـٰ لَتٌ ص ُفۡرٌ ٣٣
EN · Sahih Intl. As if they were yellowish [black] camels.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 34
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٣٤
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 35
هَـٰ ذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنط ِقُو نَ ٣٥
EN · Sahih Intl. This is a Day they will not speak,
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 36
وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُو نَ ٣٦
EN · Sahih Intl. Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 37
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٣٧
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 38
هَـٰ ذَا يَوۡمُ ٱ لۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَـٰ كُمۡ وَٱ لۡأَوَّلِي نَ ٣٨
EN · Sahih Intl. This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 39
فَإِن ك َانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدٌ ف َكِيدُو نِ ٣٩
EN · Sahih Intl. So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 40
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٤٠
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 41
إِنّ َ ٱ لۡمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰ لٍ و َعُيُو نٍ ٤١
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 42
وَفَوٰ مّ َا يَشۡتَهُو نَ ٤٢
EN · Sahih Intl. And fruits from whatever they desire,
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 43
كُلُواۡ وَٱ شۡرَبُواۡ هَنِيٓـ ــَٔۢا ب ِمَا كُنت ُمۡ تَعۡمَلُو نَ ٤٣
EN · Sahih Intl. [Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 44
إِنّ َا كَذٰ جۡ زِى ٱ لۡمُحۡسِنِي نَ ٤٤
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 45
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٤٥
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 46
كُلُواۡ وَتَمَتَّعُواۡ قَلِيلاً إِنّ َكُم م ُّجۡ رِمُو نَ ٤٦
EN · Sahih Intl. [O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 47
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٤٧
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱ رۡكَعُواۡ لَا يَرۡكَعُو نَ ٤٨
EN · Sahih Intl. And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 49
وَيۡلٌ ي َوۡمَئِذٍ ل ِّلۡمُكَذِّبِي نَ ٤٩
EN · Sahih Intl. Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Al-Mursalat • Ayah 50
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثِۭ ب َعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُو نَ ٥٠
EN · Sahih Intl. Then in what statement after it [i.e., the Qur’ān] will they believe?
