Al-Insan • Ayah 1
هَلۡ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱ لۡإِنس َـٰ نِ حِينٌ م ِّنَ ٱ ل دَّهۡرِ لَمۡ يَكُن ش َيۡــًٔا م َّذۡكُورًا ١
EN · Sahih Intl. Has there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [even] mentioned?

76. Al-Insan (31 Ayahs)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
Al-Insan • Ayah 2
إِنّ َا خَلَقۡ نَا ٱ لۡإِنس َـٰ نَ مِن ن ُّطۡ فَةٍ أَمۡشَاجٍ ن َّبۡ تَلِيهِ فَجَعَلۡنَـٰ هُ سَمِيعَۢا ب َصِيرًا ٢
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture1 that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.
Al-Insan • Ayah 3
إِنّ َا هَدَيۡنَـٰ هُ ٱ ل سَّبِيلَ إِمّ َا شَاكِرًا و َإِمّ َا كَفُورًا ٣
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful.
Al-Insan • Ayah 4
إِنّ َآ أَعۡتَدۡ نَا لِلۡكَـٰ فِرِينَ سَلَـٰ سِلَاۡ وَأَغۡلَـٰ لاً و َسَعِيرًا ٤
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze.
Al-Insan • Ayah 5
إِنّ َ ٱ لۡأَبۡ رَارَ يَشۡرَبُونَ مِن ك َأۡسٍ ك َانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا ٥
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kāfūr,1
Al-Insan • Ayah 6
عَيۡنًا ي َشۡرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ ٱ للَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفۡجِيرًا ٦
EN · Sahih Intl. A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allāh will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance].
Al-Insan • Ayah 7
يُوفُونَ بِٱ ل نّ َذۡرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوۡمًا ك َانَ شَرُّهُۥ مُسۡتَطِيرًا ٧
EN · Sahih Intl. They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread.
Al-Insan • Ayah 8
وَيُطۡ عِمُونَ ٱ ل طَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسۡكِينًا و َيَتِيمًا و َأَسِيرًا ٨
EN · Sahih Intl. And they give food in spite of love for it1 to the needy, the orphan, and the captive,
Al-Insan • Ayah 9
إِنّ َمَا نُطۡ عِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡ هِ ٱ للَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنك ُمۡ جَزَا ٓءً و َلَا شُكُورًا ٩
EN · Sahih Intl. [Saying], "We feed you only for the face [i.e., approval] of Allāh. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.
Al-Insan • Ayah 10
إِنّ َا نَخَافُ مِن ر َّبِّنَا يَوۡمًا عَبُوسًا ق َمۡطَرِيرًا ١٠
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, We fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful."
Al-Insan • Ayah 11
فَوَقَـٰ هُمُ ٱ للَّهُ شَرَّ ذٰ ٱ لۡيَوۡمِ وَلَقَّـٰ هُمۡ نَضۡرَةً و َسُرُورًا ١١
EN · Sahih Intl. So Allāh will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness
Al-Insan • Ayah 12
وَجَزَٮٰ هُم ب ِمَا صَبَرُواۡ جَنّ َةً و َحَرِيرًا ١٢
EN · Sahih Intl. And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments].
Al-Insan • Ayah 13
مُّتَّكِــِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى ٱ لۡأَرَا ٓئِكِۖ لَا يَرَوۡنَ فِيهَا شَمۡسًا و َلَا زَمۡهَرِيرًا ١٣
EN · Sahih Intl. [They will be] reclining therein on adorned couches. They will not see therein any [burning] sun or [freezing] cold.
Al-Insan • Ayah 14
وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيۡهِمۡ ظِلَـٰ لُهَا وَذُلِّلَتۡ قُطُوفُهَا تَذۡلِيلاً ١٤
EN · Sahih Intl. And near above them are its shades, and its [fruit] to be picked will be lowered in compliance.
Al-Insan • Ayah 15
وَيُطَافُ عَلَيۡهِم ب ِـَٔـانِيَةٍ م ِّن ف ِضَّةٍ و َأَكۡوَابٍ ك َانَتۡ قَوَارِيرَاۡ ١٥
EN · Sahih Intl. And there will be circulated among them vessels of silver and cups having been [created] clear [as glass],
Al-Insan • Ayah 16
قَوَارِيرَاۡ مِن ف ِضَّةٍ ق َدَّرُوهَا تَقۡ دِيرًا ١٦
EN · Sahih Intl. Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure.
Al-Insan • Ayah 17
وَيُسۡقَوۡنَ فِيهَا كَأۡسًا ك َانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنج َبِيلاً ١٧
EN · Sahih Intl. And they will be given to drink a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of ginger
Al-Insan • Ayah 18
عَيۡنًا ف ِيهَا تُسَمّ َىٰ سَلۡسَبِيلاً ١٨
EN · Sahih Intl. [From] a fountain within it [i.e., Paradise] named Salsabeel.
Al-Insan • Ayah 19
۞وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وِلۡدٰ نٌ م ُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ حَسِبۡ تَهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤًا م َّنث ُورًا ١٩
EN · Sahih Intl. There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls.
Al-Insan • Ayah 20
وَإِذَا رَأَيۡتَ ثَمّ َ رَأَيۡتَ نَعِيمًا و َمُلۡكًا ك َبِيرًا ٢٠
EN · Sahih Intl. And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see pleasure and great dominion.
Al-Insan • Ayah 21
عَـٰ لِيَهُمۡ ثِيَابُ سُند ُسٍ خُضۡرٌ و َإِسۡتَبۡ رَقٌۖ و َحُلُّوٓ اۡ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ف ِضَّةٍ و َسَقَـٰ هُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ شَرَابًا ط َهُورًا ٢١
EN · Sahih Intl. Upon them [i.e., the inhabitants] will be green garments of fine silk and brocade. And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a purifying drink.
Al-Insan • Ayah 22
إِنّ َ هَـٰ ذَا كَانَ لَكُمۡ جَزَا ٓءً و َكَانَ سَعۡيُكُم م َّشۡكُورًا ٢٢
EN · Sahih Intl. [And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated."
Al-Insan • Ayah 23
إِنّ َا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱ لۡقُرۡءَانَ تَنز ِيلاً ٢٣
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muḥammad], the Qur’ān progressively.
Al-Insan • Ayah 24
فَٱ صۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعۡ مِنۡهُمۡ ءَاثِمًا أَوۡ كَفُورًا ٢٤
EN · Sahih Intl. So be patient for the decision of your Lord and do not obey from among them a sinner or ungrateful [disbeliever].
Al-Insan • Ayah 25
وَٱ ذۡكُرِ ٱ سۡمَ رَبِّكَ بُكۡرَةً و َأَصِيلاً ٢٥
EN · Sahih Intl. And mention the name of your Lord [in prayer] morning and evening
Al-Insan • Ayah 26
وَمِنَ ٱ لَّيۡلِ فَٱ سۡجُدۡ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحۡهُ لَيۡلاً ط َوِيلاً ٢٦
EN · Sahih Intl. And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt [i.e., praise] Him a long [part of the] night.
Al-Insan • Ayah 27
إِنّ َ هَـٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ يُحِبُّونَ ٱ لۡعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَا ٓءَهُمۡ يَوۡمًا ث َقِيلاً ٢٧
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them1 a grave Day.
Al-Insan • Ayah 28
نَّحۡنُ خَلَقۡ نَـٰ هُمۡ وَشَدَدۡ نَآ أَسۡرَهُمۡۖ وَإِذَا شِئۡنَا بَدَّلۡنَآ أَمۡثَـٰ لَهُمۡ تَبۡ دِيلاً ٢٨
EN · Sahih Intl. We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.
Al-Insan • Ayah 29
إِنّ َ هَـٰ ذِهِۦ تَذۡكِرَةٌۖ ف َمَن ش َا ٓءَ ٱ تَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلاً ٢٩
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way.
Al-Insan • Ayah 30
وَمَا تَشَا ٓءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن ي َشَا ٓءَ ٱ للَّهُۚ إِنّ َ ٱ للَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا ٣٠
EN · Sahih Intl. And you do not will except that Allāh wills. Indeed, Allāh is ever Knowing and Wise.
Al-Insan • Ayah 31
يُدۡ خِلُ مَن ي َشَا ٓءُ فِى رَحۡمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَٱ ل ظَّـٰ لِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ عَذَابًا أَلِيمَۢا ٣١
EN · Sahih Intl. He admits whom He wills into His mercy; but the wrongdoers - He has prepared for them a painful punishment.
