وَٱ لَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَغۡشَىٰ ١

92. Al-Layl (21 Ayahs)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
Al-Layl • Ayah 2
وَٱ ل نّ َهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ٢
EN · Sahih Intl. And [by] the day when it appears
Al-Layl • Ayah 3
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱ ل ذَّكَرَ وَٱ لۡأُنث َىٰٓ ٣
EN · Sahih Intl. And [by] He who created the male and female,
Al-Layl • Ayah 4
إِنّ َ سَعۡيَكُمۡ لَشَتَّىٰ ٤
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, your efforts are diverse.
Al-Layl • Ayah 5
فَأَمّ َا مَنۡ أَعۡطَىٰ وَٱ تَّقَىٰ ٥
EN · Sahih Intl. As for he who gives and fears Allāh
Al-Layl • Ayah 6
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱ لۡحُسۡنَىٰ ٦
EN · Sahih Intl. And believes in the best [reward],
Al-Layl • Ayah 7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ ٧
EN · Sahih Intl. We will ease him toward ease.
Al-Layl • Ayah 8
وَأَمّ َا مَنۢ ب َخِلَ وَٱ سۡتَغۡنَىٰ ٨
EN · Sahih Intl. But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need
Al-Layl • Ayah 9
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱ لۡحُسۡنَىٰ ٩
EN · Sahih Intl. And denies the best [reward],
Al-Layl • Ayah 10
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلۡعُسۡرَىٰ ١٠
EN · Sahih Intl. We will ease him toward difficulty.
Al-Layl • Ayah 11
وَمَا يُغۡنِى عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ ١١
EN · Sahih Intl. And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?1
Al-Layl • Ayah 12
إِنّ َ عَلَيۡنَا لَلۡهُدَىٰ ١٢
EN · Sahih Intl. Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.
Al-Layl • Ayah 13
وَإِنّ َ لَنَا لَلۡأَخِرَةَ وَٱ لۡأُولَىٰ ١٣
EN · Sahih Intl. And indeed, to us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].
Al-Layl • Ayah 14
فَأَنذ َرۡتُكُمۡ نَارًا ت َلَظَّىٰ ١٤
EN · Sahih Intl. So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing.
Al-Layl • Ayah 15
لَا يَصۡلَـٰ هَآ إِلَّا ٱ لۡأَشۡقَى ١٥
EN · Sahih Intl. None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one
Al-Layl • Ayah 16
ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ١٦
EN · Sahih Intl. Who had denied and turned away.
Al-Layl • Ayah 17
وَسَيُجَنّ َبُهَا ٱ لۡأَتۡقَى ١٧
EN · Sahih Intl. But the righteous one will avoid it
Al-Layl • Ayah 18
ٱلَّذِى يُؤۡتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ ١٨
EN · Sahih Intl. [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself
Al-Layl • Ayah 19
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِند َهُۥ مِن ن ِّعۡمَةٍ ت ُجۡ زَىٰٓ ١٩
EN · Sahih Intl. And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded1
Al-Layl • Ayah 20
إِلَّا ٱ بۡ تِغَا ٓءَ وَجۡ هِ رَبِّهِ ٱ لۡأَعۡلَىٰ ٢٠
EN · Sahih Intl. But only seeking the face [i.e., acceptance] of his Lord, Most High.
Al-Layl • Ayah 21
وَلَسَوۡفَ يَرۡضَىٰ ٢١
EN · Sahih Intl. And he is going to be satisfied.
